Want To Feel Motivated? Do These 5 Simple Things

Despite your many efforts to achieve the things you set out to do, you will be faced with those times that your motivation seems to just disappear. These situations are quite normal and luckily there are ways to get around them. Check out these really easy steps to get yourself fired up and ready to go again:

Check Your Health

Workout, eat a healthy diet, and keep your body physically fit. The one thing you should not overlook is your body. Along with all the other benefits to living a healthier lifestyle, it also boosts your confidence. Nothing beats having a nice healthy body that you have committed to improving, worked hard and succeeded. If you are not happy with what you see, and you know you can do something about it then take action. Shape a body that you enjoy seeing and take pride in it. You only get one body, look after it.

Find Out What Easily Bothers You

There are certain things that bother us most of the time. These are those little things that make us experience that unbearable itch that really annoys us. It could be a fall out with a friend or family member that you really want to sort out but for what ever reason don’t face. Find out what it is and take time to reflect and note the solutions that spring to mind. Come up with a plan to resolve the situation or if this is not possible then just resolve to let it go. The decision to let it go or do nothing right now is still taking action!

 Rid Yourself of Fear

Although a little fear is a good thing, it can kick start change, feeling in constant fear can be really harmful. Anxiety and fear are psychological, only existent in your mind. If you can create fear then you can erase fear as well. The same goes for anxiety. If you’re too afraid of the consequences or too anxious of what’s about to happen, you’re not motivated at all. Breaking down your fear into small manageable portions helps to maintain motivation.

I was terrified of driving, swore I would NEVER, EVER learn, or be capable of driving.

It was a lie, I am driving and have a test booked very soon. I was in my late 30’s when I faced that fear. I broke the fear down and addressed my mindset first. I repeated to myself that we are not born knowing everything, we all have to start somewhere, let’s just book a few lessons with an instructor and put some trust in them. 1st step done, I learnt the basics, felt more comfortable each time and low and behold, the fear began to subside.

Don’t get me wrong, I still have moments of panic about new routes but thanks to Google Earth I can have a look before I even get there. I am confident that with time, I will be less anxious about new routes too, I’ll just get in the car and go!

Start The Day With Positivity

Have you ever woken up on the wrong side of the bed? Most of us have and find that it lasts throughout the day. If negativity could last from the moment you wake up till you lay to rest at night, so can positivity. Kick start your day with a nice warm smile and a positive attitude. The right mindset at the right time can be a game changer.

Create Your Own Meditation

Meditating is an all effective, cost efficient method of motivating yourself. It’s long been referred to as a means of finding inner peace. Meditation can help you clear up your mind, rid you of all the anxiety, frustrations, and everything negative. There’s no exact and “right” way of meditating so you can come up with your own. As long as you’re comfortable and you can find calmness, that will do fine. It’s a lot easier to feel motivated when you’re mind isn’t clouded with worry and negativity.
